Last week, an employee from Coca Cola wrote on his blog that the company was going to use another male idol group (Shinhwa being the first) for an upcoming CF for Coca Cola. He said the reason they chose this group was because he'd seen them on variety shows and they had impressed him. Well, turns out this male idol group is 2PM!

They shot the CF this week and there's already some photos plus a behind-the-scenes Video:

Last week we brought you news on how Big Bang was invited to Music Station Super Live, which is one of Japan’s biggest end-year music shows and only the top Japanese artists are invited. This is the first time Big Bang attended and they put on a great show! This performance is from December 25th.

The violent behaviour of 2PM WooYoung fans causing WooYoung to bleed on his face and arms shocked many.
2PM performed in a NB club in Seoul GangNam InGeun during the early hours of Christmas day on 25th December. With the news about their performance, fans have swamped the venus causing confusion and messy situation at the club.
And the problem happened when WooYoung was going up the stage, and fans who were trying to touch his face and arms, and hurt him with their long finger nails leaving scratches and blood stains on his face and arms.
A fan who was at the performance venue uploaded the video showing visible scratches and injuries on the left side of WooYoung’s face. His index finger was also covered in blood stains, causing many fans to worry. Blood stains were also visible on his clothes.
Member Nich Khun was seen worried and passing him tissue paper to wipe the blood stains off. And in order to have the excited fans to sit down, the members said, “For everyone and us to enjoy the performance, safety is the most important.”
Meanwhile, netizens who saw the video said, “Fans’ affection gone overboard”, “This is not affection, this is obsession”, “I’m worried about the safety of the members” etc.

Though all of the members are at the backstage, a screen was used to separate them. To forbid interactions, staffs would be them to monitor each of the members. It was said that they were even unable to communicate with each other. At both of the Best Hit and FNS Music Festival held on November 26 and December 20 respectively, we were able to saw all of the members performing live on stage. However, they (TVXQ) were later said to be giving each other cold shoulders. However if the above stated was true (that they were having bad relationship), they wouldn't be talking with each other even if a screen wasn't there! It however shows that the strong bond between members still exists and thus, barriers were needed so to prevent communication.

The “UNICEF Gift Concert” definitely celebrated the Christmas spirit, with appearances by top stars such as SHINee, MBLAQ, U-KISS. TVXQ/DBSK supporters in the motherland and overseas have been riveted by the SME lawsuit for the past few months, and it looks like a certain group of international fans is really stepping up their game.

Five Balloons, a group of Japanese TVXQ supporters, recently created the TVXQ Smile Project, in which members donated money to put an advertisement in a daily Korean newspaper. Its monetary goal for Christmas? A whopping five million yen, which is approximately 64,400,000 won, $54,700 USD, or the price of a pretty nice sports car. I never realized how astronomically high newspaper ad rates were... and why fans would devote so much money to a boy group instead of a charity or something is beyond me, but that's besides the point.

The ad is expected to include the words 'TVXQ Smile Project,' a message about TVXQ's entity as a group only complete with five members, and a promise to forever love TVXQ and wait for them to sincerely smile.

As of yesterday, over four hundred participants collectively donated 1,764,000 yen (approx 22,700,000 won or $19,400 USD). Since this doesn't meet the initial December 25 goal, the members plan to extend the period of donation collections and purchase the ad in mid-January.

2009 is widely known as the Year of the Girl Groups, but it might as well be called the Year of the Fans instead. From forming petitions to changing drama plots, from kicking an idol out of the country to a creating a global movement to bring the same person back, it's become clear that fan support has definitely evolved and rocked the kpop world in many ways.

Remember we told you about MBLAQ and BEAST's joint performance on the Christmas themed Music Bank on December 25th? Well, here's a hint of what exactly they will be performing!

BEAST and MBLAQ will be performing all of 2009's popular dances. The dances will include Brown Eyed Girls' 'Abracadabra', 2PM's 'Again & Again', Girls Generation's 'Gee' and more!

Is this the second "Dirty Eyed Girls"? It's hard to believe that these two groups will surpass JoKwon's ridiculous facial expressions and seductive hip actions!

On Christmas Eve, 2PM were the special guest performers at Noise Basement aka NB, a famous hip-hop club owned by Yang Hyunsuk (yes, the CEO of YG Entertainment) in Seoul's Hongdae district. You may remember it as the one Jay/Taecyeon/Chansung went to in the first episode of Wild Bunny. The guys performed Heartbeat, Again & Again, I Hate You and 10 Out of 10.

The disturbance caused by Han Geng’s lawsuit is yet unresolved, but the company will not give up any chance at money-making, putting Henry and Zhang Liyin into a temporary group for performances.

Yesterday, a reporter learned from the source of a local performance that because of Han Geng’s contract termination, the constantly acting together SJM is now faced with disintegration, with member Henry and company colleague Zhang Liyin being put into a temporary group for performances. For thirty days, they will be performing together in Dongguan, pulling invitation prices of no more than 50000 RMB.

Hunan TV also confirms this – being affected by the termination of contract, SJM may still appear in the New Year’s show as a “battered formation”.

[Hunan TV Rejects The New Group]

SJM had one remaining last performance of the year, namely at Hunan TV’s New Year’s Gala. Yesterday, reporters learned from a staff member at Hunan TV that to get the entirety of SJM to perform is now very difficult: “SM says that until Han Geng’s contract dispute is over, they will not be able to send the entire group to perform. They brought up the idea of having Henry and Zhang Liyin perform in SJM’s stead; of course, we didn’t agree, because what the audience wants to see is Han Geng, and we won’t give up trying (to get him) until the last minute.”

Damn Hunan, you tell them. Hopefully that will give SM a clue how much Han Geng Super Junior-M are valued and forced them to actually rework their contracts. They are pretty much their key to the Chinese market.
